In Norway, Norwegian plastic surgeons warn against being allowed to operate abroad.

In an interview with TV2, plastic surgeon Amin Kalaaji, senior consultant at Oslo Plastic Surgery and head of the Norwegian Association for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery strongly advises not to go abroad to be operated. He is afraid of resistant bacteria, insufficient follow-up, poor insurance and that it is more difficult to carry out quality control abroad.
