He held a lecture about BIA-ALCL (Breast Implant Associated Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma): ”How much, or little, do we know?”
BIA-ALCL has been all over the media in recent years, and even though it is a rare form om lymphoma, the government has taken preventative measures, and recommends using untextured implants, as textured ones have shown to increase the incidence of BIA-ALCL. However the chances of getting the lymphoma is minimal, and therefor women with textured implants aren’t recommended to remove them/change them.
