Oslo Plastic Surgery now comes with new treatment options for those with reduced hair production or who have recently undergone hair transplantation. The treatment involves injecting nanofat to the scalp. Nanofat has regenerative properties so that better blood circulation and better growth conditions for the hair follicles can be achieved.
The fat is taken from your own body through special needles. This is done under local anesthesia and sedative medication (sedation), and the fat is treated in a special way before being injected with a cannula (so-called Coleman’s technique) into the desired area.
It is assumed that you have areas where you can get fat from to move to the desired area. The amount of fat depends on the volume of the area you want to correct. Mostly it is about relatively small amounts of fat. Usually the fat (integrates) the fat integrates well in the receiving area, but it must be assumed that the body absorbs (sucks) approx. 30 % of fat in the first few months (somewhat less in the head region), so you fill a little more than you need (over-correct) to compensate for this.
