Dr. Kalaaji, senior consultant at Oslo Plastic Surgery was invited as a guest lecturer and faculty member at the renowned BBB (Botti`s Best Breast) Villa Bella Clinic course in Gardone Riviera, Italy 25.05-27.05.18 where he participated with some of the world’s most famous plastic surgeons in aesthetic breast surgery.
He lectured on the topic of breast enlargement with his own adipose tissue where he compared the different procedures with pros and cons. Oslo Plastic Surgery has so far performed 151 surgeries for breast transplantation.
Some patients only want a little more fullness and will not have breast implants inserted. Breast fat transplants feel more natural to many and are a good replacement for breast implants unless you want a large volume increase. Patients with aberrant breast form, as with tuberous breast, this method will be a good alternative.
Some have implants from before, but want to get more fullness in the breasts without having to change to larger implants.
Other women have inserted breast implants that they now want to completely remove and rather insert fat to replace the missing volume. Also, patients who experience capsule formation and who initially want to have the prosthesis removed can benefit from this surgery. (Conversion processing).
Some choose to undergo a so-called (Hybrid treatment) for breast where you put fat and implant at the same time or put fat after implants are increased to increase volume, improve asymmetry or to increase volume in certain areas of the breast such as at the bottom or at chasm. It can also be used to camouflage so-called rippling, which can occur in very slim women who have low fat layers under the skin. An alternative might then be to transplant fat.
